Ocarina Hardware Watch ("we," "this site") is a small, independently run fan blog. This page explains what data is and isn't collected when you visit.

What we collect directly

We don't require an account, and we don't collect names, emails, or personal information unless you choose to email us directly. We do use Google Analytics (see below) to understand traffic at an aggregate level.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand traffic patterns — things like which pages get read and roughly how visitors find the site. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology to collect this data, which is processed by Google according to Google's privacy policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking across all websites using Google's browser opt-out add-on.

Hosting

This site is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub, as our hosting provider, may automatically log standard technical data (such as IP address and browser type) as part of serving the site. That logging is governed by GitHub's own privacy statement, not by us directly.

Embedded content from other sites

Some pages embed content hosted by other companies, which may set their own cookies or collect data according to their own privacy policies, independent of us:

Advertising

We intend to display ads through Google AdSense to help support the cost of running this site. When ads are active, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites, including for personalized advertising unless you opt out. If you're located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you'll be shown a consent option before any personalized ads or non-essential cookies load. You can learn more about how Google uses this data, and manage your ad preferences, at Google's Ads Policy page and Google Ads Settings.

Your choices

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Doing so may affect how embedded content (like the X timeline) displays, but won't prevent you from reading the site itself.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page as the site changes, particularly once advertising goes live. We'll update the "last updated" date above when we do.
