The Leaks

Leak images and official trailer footage, embedded directly from their original sources so credit and hosting stay with them.

The August 11 leak

These images were first posted by Brazilian journalist Felipe "Necro" Lima (@necrolipe), editor-in-chief of Universo Nintendo, who has a track record of accurate Nintendo leaks. Nintendo has not confirmed these images.

Original post: @necrolipe on X, August 11, 2026

The first post in the pair shows what's described as retail box art for a Switch 2 console in a design built around the Hylian Crest and gold-and-white color scheme Nintendo has used on past Zelda hardware — most recently the Tears of the Kingdom OLED. Nothing in the shot shows a model number, price sticker, or retailer branding, which is part of why outlets covering it (see our full roundup) have stopped short of calling it confirmed: box art alone doesn't establish a release window, and pre-release packaging photography has leaked without shipping before.

The second image is framed as a matching Pro Controller in the same finish. Notably, neither image ties the hardware explicitly to Ocarina of Time by name — the branding reads more generically as a "40th Anniversary" line, which is exactly the ambiguity we dig into in this post: whether this is Ocarina-specific hardware or broader Zelda-anniversary merchandise that happens to be arriving in the same window as the remake is still an open question, not something these two photos settle on their own.

Official Ocarina of Time remake trailer

This is confirmed, official Nintendo content from the June 9, 2026 Nintendo Direct — embedded directly from Nintendo's own YouTube upload. It's the only footage of the remake Nintendo has released so far: a short tease confirming the remake exists and targeting a 2026 window, without showing extended gameplay or naming a specific release date. Everything about hardware, pricing, or a firmer release window is reconstructed from the separate leak above, not from anything in this trailer.

How we vet what goes on this page. We only add images and video here that trace back to an identifiable original source — either Nintendo's own channels or a leaker with a track record we can point to, like @necrolipe above. We don't reproduce Nintendo's artwork or screenshots ourselves; everything here is embedded so it stays hosted, and creditable, at the source.
